It is reported that iron ore inventory at 30 major Chinese ports totaled 98.52 million tons as of July 20, up 600,000 tons compared to the previous week, showing an increase of 3.87 million tons year on year. Iron ore inventory at two major ports in northern China , Caofeidian and Tianjin , showed an obvious increase of 440,000 tons and 170,000 tons respectively. Meanwhile, Jingtang Port reported unchanged week on week. In southern China at port of Fangcheng saw an increase of 210,000 tons; Zhizhao Port in eastern China decreased by 100,000 tons, while inventoories at Lianyun and Dalian both declined by 150,000 tons, all compare to the previous week. Iron ore inventory at the 30 major Chinese ports supplied by the three main source countries - Australia, India and Brazil - increased by a total of 570,000 tons in the week ending July 20 in comparing to the previous week, rising by 260,000 tons, 40,000 tons and 270,000 tons respectively.
