Indian Brass, Copper Scrap prices fall
Date: 28/06/2018

India’s major brass and copper scrap commodities prices fell on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Tuesday, while copper futures prices at India's Multi Commodity Exchange bounced back from early weakness as Labor Negotiations in Chile Continue. India's major brass and copper scrap commodities prices including ACR copper coil 3/8, cc rod lme ++, copper armature, copper cable scrap, copper cathod lme ++, copper pat, copper shell 40mm, copper super d.rod and electrolytic copper strip 25mm dropped on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Tuesday. The most active June copper contract on India's Multi Commodity Exchange has advanced by 0.72 percent to Rs. 451.90 per kilogram on Tuesday from previous close of Rs. 448.65 per kilogram. Copper Futures at MCX touched an intra-day high of Rs. 452.40 per kilogram and an intra-day low of Rs. 448.80 per kilogram during Tuesday. A year of expected supply disruption, mainly from expiring labour contracts in Chile, has so far not played out that way. Although there is still plenty of potential for disruption at the Escondida mine, where management and unions are locked in talks, and at Codelco's Chuquicamata division, the first six months of the year have seen no major labour-related stoppages.
