Indian Steel to rule the world
Steel companies in India have started scaling up the production targets & the industry is likely to move to no 2 position globally from the current no 7 position by 2016 according to Mr R. S. Pandey the Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India.
Current production stands at 44 Million tonnes of steel. The production target for 2011 has been revised from 65 Million MT to 80 million MT & the projected figs is 120 million MT of steel by 2016.
