Reliance Power raises INR 20000 crore for funding 5000 MW projects

Zee News reported that Reliance Power has risen over INR 20,000 crore to fund 3 projects aggregating 5,000 MW. This includes INR 15,000 crore for the 4,000 MW Sasan thermal power project in Madhya Pradesh.

Reliance Power also plans to commission power projects worth 600 MW capacities during the current financial year. It holds around 2 billion tonne of coal reserves to be utilized for its upcoming thermal power projects in the country.

It said that the company has bagged 3 ultra mega power projects of capacity 4,000 MW each at Sasan (MP), Krishnapatnam (AP) and Tilaiya in Jharkhand. It plans to commission power projects of about 3,000 MW capacities by the end of the 11th Five Year Plan period.
