Hindujas to set up 4th foundry in India
Hinduja Foundries Ltd, has initiated the 4th foundry in India with an estimated investment of Rs 1500 millions which will come up at Toopran.The company will also invest Rs 70 Millions for inhouse training facility.
With the fourth foundry coming up,the total capacity of all the plants will go up to approx 2,25,000 MT per annum. According to the Managing Director,Hinduja Foundries,Mr V.Mahadevan, the new unit will supply engine blocks & heads for car industry both for domestic consumption & for exports as well as for commercial vehicles & tractor industry.
The new plant is coming up on 6o acres land with installed capacity of 85,000 ton per annum & is likely to employ over 1500 people.The plant will come up in two phases .In first phase the capacity is likely to be 50,000 MT/ annum going upto 85,000 MT/annum after completion of second phase.
