Montupet, France to set up Facility in China
Montupet of France, leader of aluminum castings in EU & a major supplier of castings to auto majors like Volkswagen, Renault etc has started construction of its facility in the Changzhou National High-tech District, Jiangsu province in China. The company will be known as Changzhou Montupet Auto Parts Co ltd. & will produce auto parts like cylinder Heads & other precision cast components for auto application.
The French Company is likely to invest initially Approx USD 30 Millions & is likely to produce about seven lakhs cylinder heads which is ultimately likely to go upto a capacity of fourteen lakh aluminium cylinder heads per annum for domestic use & for export to auto manufacturers globally.
The investment by Montupet will give thrust to the auto parts industry in Changzhou which already has several other major auto parts manufacturers operating like Mitsubishi, Bridgestone, Magna International, Leoni & Visteon etc.
