Foundry Park to Come up in Ahemdabad
A foundry park is being planned near Ahemdabad by Ahmedabad Foundry Cluster, an association comprising of approx 70 members. The exact site will be shortlisted soon & the project is likely to be supported by the Govt. Application for statutary approvals is under process.
The most likely sites for the project will either be Kathawada or Santej & the project is likely to come up in next 12 to 14 months.
The estimated initial investment will be Rs 250 millions which will be largely funded by centre under its cluster development programme & balance 10% each by the statye Govt. & the stakeholders.
Out of about 350-400 foundry units in & around Ahemdabad, initially about 70 units are likely to participate in this project.
