Diecasting Plant at Tennessee likely to shut down
It is reported that the aluminum diecasting plant in Pulaski, TN, is likely to be closed in the later half of this year. The shutdown will be carried out in stages and will be complete in the second half of 2008. About more than 100 workers are likely to be affected.
The Pulaski plant has melting capacity of up to 10,000 tons of aluminum annually, and produces components weighing up to 15 Kg by diecasting machines. It also has machining centers.The final products are rocker arm covers, rack-and-pinion housing, electronic housings, and oil filter adapters etc for auto use & others.
