Coimbatore Foundries Call Off strike
The small Foundries in Coimbatore who were on strike since last one week in protest of Govt.'s inaction to resolve the serious problem of steep hike in proice pf key input materials have finally called it off after the meeting with the Rural Industries Minister, Mr Pongalur N. Palanisamy, Coimbatore MP, Mr K. Subbarayan and the officials of the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation. The association has called off the strike temporarily as they have been given assurance by the Govt of action to overcome the problem shortly.
The association members decided to call off the strike temporarily at a meeting held here on Saturday since they expected measures by the Government soon to overcome the raw material price problem.
