Chinese coke export price still rising

According to a statistics from customs, despite domestic failure of joint output cutback and collapsing price, export price of coke still keeps rising steadily.

China exported 11.05 million tonnes of coke and semi-coke in the first three quarters, a year on year drop of 5.8%, while export value rocketed up to USD 5.21 billion from USD 2.15 billion.

Export volume in September fell 6.8%YoY to 1.37 million tonnes down modestly from the 1.41 million tonnes in a month earlier. In the meanwhile export price averaged USD 621.3 per tonne rising by 12.14% compared with the USD 554.1 per tonne in August. Average price in the first nine months jumped 157.3% to USD 471.4 per tonne form the USD 183.2 per tonne in the same period of last year.
