China tops world in NF metals Production
 China tops the world in nonferrous metals for five years said sources with the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNMIA)
China’s prodn.of ten main nonferrous metals, including copper, aluminum, nickel, lead, zinc and magnesium, increased 17.50% YOY to 19.20 million tons in 2006.
China produced 3 Million Tons copper, 9.4 million tons of electrolytic aluminum, 2.75 million tons of lead and 3.15 million tons of zinc.
In 2007, the country's nonferrous metals output will increase rapidly, with prices remaining at a high level due to rising demand, according to Kang Yi, the CNMIA chairman
