Casting Production reaches 100 Million MT Worlwide
The global casting production has touched the 100 million-tonne (mt) mark in last year. The casting production has registered about 5-6% growth for ferrous castings & about 10% growth in the non ferrous.
According to the metal castings census, China ranks no one with a total production capacity of over 29 mt, followed by the US with 12,500 mt. India stands fourth with 7.2 mt.
India's production has more than doubled in the last three to four years and the country surpassed the US in grey iron production.
