India’s Karnataka government postpones mining activity temporarily
Karnataka government announced to postpone the mining activity temporarily in Bellary Hospet. As a result, it has caused several steel mills face the shortage of iron ore supply.
The Supreme Court gave order to investigative 99 mines in Bellary Hospet region on May 6th. Besides, the Department of Mines and Geology (DMG) notified the holders of mining leases to postpone the mining activities to ensure the process of investigation.
