India may see 30 million tonnes capacity in 2 years
Reports from ET that additional 30 million tonnes of steel making capacity is expected to be commissioned in the next two years in the country, out of which, approximately 10 million tonnes to 15 million tonnes of capacity is likely to be added during the current year itself.
Mr PK Misra Indian steel secretary said “We expect some 30 million tonne of steel capacity to be commissioned in the next two years.”
He added that some of the planned mega integrated steel plants are also due to start production within the next five to seven years.”
