COINDIA project under IIUS to be Commissioned
The Coimbatore Industrial Infrastructure Association (COINDIA) is likely to commission the infrastructure facilities created for the foundries and pumpset manufacturing units in this month.
The project for the foundry and pumpset cluster was initiated supported by the Govt of India under its Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (IIUS) and will provide the use of common facilities having state pf art equipments to approx 1,500 units. According to The President G. Rajendran, 90 percent of the works had been completed.
The facilities include training centre for training foundry workers, rapid prototype development of components & modern testing facilities which will provide access to the small & medium units to modern production tools & improve their competitiveness to compete globally.
