Egypt begins to construct wind power stations
Egypt, located in one of the most windy areas is planning to build four wind power stations with 1000 MW or 250 MW each.
It’s said that the country planned to create 12% of its electricity from wind power projects in the next 5 years and expected to generate 7,200 MW by 2022.
As the leading country for wind power development in Middle East, the construction is set to start in May. Two of the planned four wind power stations will be in the Gulf of Suez .
