American scrap prices stable as demand improves
It is reported that America's export prices of number 1 & 2 mixed scrap has reached USD 235 per tonne to Turkey due to the increasing demand.
Besides, the recent settle price of number 1 heavy scrap was at USD 250 per tonne. Meanwhile, Turkey has raised the rebar export price from USD 450 to USD 460 per tonne to USD 470 to USD 480 per tonne due to higher scrap prices.
It's said that the scarp price will remain stable for a while because the steel mills’ scrap stocks are very low and have started to purchase.
