Electrosteel Castings Q1 profit down by 48pct
Electrosteel Castings announced a substantial drop in standalone net profit for the Q1 ended June 2010. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 48.23% to INR 300.81 million from INR 581.02 million in the same quarter previous year.
The company’s net sales for the quarter declined marginally 3.49% to INR 3,599 million, while total income for the quarter fell marginally 2.71% to INR 3,663.46 million, when compared with the prior year period.
