According to the report, the Indian government said this Monday (July 22nd) that it had successfully auction 20 mining lease licenses for iron ore mines with a total reserve of 583.057 million tons. Indian Steel Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, mentioned in a written reply that the government approved the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2015 to simplify the procedure of mining leases to ensure sufficient inventory of iron ore for steel sectors.
