India Brass, Copper Scrap prices show flat trend; MCX Copper falls

India’s major brass and copper scrap commodities prices showed a flat trend on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Friday, while copper futures prices at India's Multi Commodity Exchange dropped as trade tensions between the United States and the European Union eased. India's major brass and copper scrap commodities prices including brass accessories, brass huny scrap, brass pales scrap, brass pallu scrap, brass sheet cuttings, brass sheet scrap, brass shell 40mm, acr copper coil 3/8, copper armature, copper cable scrap, copper heavy scrap, copper shell 40mm, copper utensil scrap, copper wire bars and electrolytic copper strip 25mm showed a flat trend on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Friday. The most active August copper contract on India's Multi Commodity Exchange has dropped to Rs. 428.90 per kilogram on Friday from previous close of Rs. 428.90 per kilogram. Copper Futures at MCX touched an intra-day high of Rs. 431.60 per kilogram and an intra-day low of Rs. 423.90 per kilogram during Friday. After meeting European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker, U.S. President Donald Trump said the two would work toward eliminating trade barriers on industrial goods. Chinese Industrial profits rose 20 percent to 658.29 billion yuan ($96.69 billion) in June, according to data published by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Friday, compared with a 21.1 percent rise in May. NBS said in a separate statement on the data rising prices have cushioned firms’ profits even as industrial production slowed in June.
