Indian Ferro Silicon prices have increased in line with the improved sentiments of the Steel market. Producers in Bhutan decided the prices for Ferro Silicon to be at INR 74,000/MT. Moreover, due to the supply shortage, few producers have been aided in raising their offers. In the domestic market, the offer prices for Bhutanese Ferro Silicon increased to INR 74,000- 75,000/MT Ex-plant for 70% grade. Meanwhile, offers from Guwahati based producers are at INR 75,000- 76,000/MT Ex-plant. Export prices from India are at USD 1060/MT. Meanwhile, prices for Russian Ferro Silicon remained stable and Chinese Ferro Silicon went up by USD 20/MT W-o-W to USD 1095/MT FOB China. A Bhutan based producer said, “The export market tends to remain silent till mid of Jan, therefore the producers will provide the material in the market which was earlier in stock.” Meanwhile, in Guwahati prices surged up this week after Bhutan declared its prices. On the future outlook, the Ferro Silicon market seems to remain positive and the supply-demand dynamics will govern the future market.
